About the Artist

 

Since I qualified in London I have worked as a physiotherapist and now run my own private practice in London and the West Country.

Besides treating patients I love studying what is around me and am always trying to capture what I see on paper.

After dabbling with watercolours for a while I sought tuition and started painting seriously about three years ago. I love big skies and have spent a lot of time on Islay in Scotland and at our house in Slovenia.

I also love attention to detail. The use of watercolour techniques enables me to better express the essence of what I’m painting.

I sign my paintings JqR, hence the name of the website, I hope you enjoy browsing.
